Egypt Reviews Expansion of University Hospitals and Healthcare Capacity

On 1 November, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi reviewed healthcare development plans, including the 577-bed Galala University Hospital and the 340-bed National Cancer Institute project in Sheikh Zayed. No new construction budget or additional contract award was disclosed during the review. The developments create opportunities for medical-equipment manufacturers, diagnostic providers, hospital technology companies and healthcare operators.
